Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates has been developed by physiotherapists based on research as an effective controlled safe form of exercise to overcome pain and movement problems, improve posture, stability and overall fitness. Clinical Pilates is classified as treatment and health rebates apply. Once you have your assessment with one of our friendly physios you will be guided into a class that best suits you or offered one on one treatment.


What forms of Clinical Pilates are available to me at NextMove?

NextMove offers evidence based clinical Pilates using traditional reformer and trapeze table by DMA Clinical Pilates trained therapists.

Which class would be best for me?

It is advisable to come and see one of our experienced Pilates physiotherapists to be assessed and to have your general health screened prior to any of our classes. In this initial assessment/training session your will be given further advice and information on our Pilates options and what would be most beneficial to you.


What if I want to do Pilates but not in a group?

We are able to offer Pilates sessions at an individual level.


What do I need to bring to a class?

Just a towel and some water.


What if I miss a class?

If a class is missed, clients will be able to make that class in the same term if spaces are available.


Can I get a refund for classes I have missed?

For administration purposes we are unable to offer refunds for classes that are missed.


Am I able to get a discount if I have attended for sometime?

Yes we offer Pilates and Wellness Membership to those clients who have attended for a term which means on re-booking, clients will receive a discount for future terms of classes.


Are the classes suitable during pregnancy or after birth?

The machine and floor classes are suitable for those who are pregnant or post natal. We advise you come for an initial assessment and talk to our physiotherapists.


Who are the classes suitable for? Is it for males and females?

Our classes are suitable for men and women, with chronic or recurring pain or for those people who just want to improve their fitness, posture and general body awareness in a safe and supervised environment.


Will I have to fill in any forms before attending?

All clients will be asked to complete an enrolment form which includes a medical declaration.


Who runs our classes and why NextMove?

We are proud to announce that our physiotherapists are experienced in Pilates with DMA Clinical training and GRAVITY Pilates training.
